Ordinal Numbers

The NGFL Cymru has some interactive resources to help students understand the concept of ordinal numbers. The activities include a series of interactives to reinforce the idea of first, second, third and so on.

In the starter activity, students match the written ordinal numbers to the awards. 

In the main activity, pupils have the choice of two races and place the competitors in the correct order according to the story.

Subsequent activities teach higher ordinal numbers from 11th to 20th.
